Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using OPEN/secret, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use OPEN/secret. By using the service, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You are legally permitted to use the service where you live
  • You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws

3. Your Account

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information, including real photos of yourself
  • Keep your login details secure and not share your account
  • Tell us promptly about any unauthorised access
  • Take responsibility for all activity under your account

4. Couple Accounts

Two members can link their accounts as a couple by invitation. When you link:

  • You share one couple profile that either partner can edit
  • Each partner keeps their own login, verification and responsibility for their own conduct
  • Both partners can see the couple's matches and messages, including matches either partner made before linking
  • Either partner can unlink at any time, which removes the shared couple profile

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Post false, misleading, or deceptive information
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users
  • Send explicit content to anyone who has not asked for it
  • Share intimate images of anyone without their consent
  • Solicit money, sex work, or engage in commercial activity
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use bots or automated systems to access the service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other accounts

6. Your Content

You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting it, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display and distribute it within OPEN/secret so the service can work. You are responsible for your content and must make sure it does not break any law or anyone else's rights.

7. Safety and Moderation

To keep the community safe, we may:

  • Review photos automatically before they appear on your profile
  • Review reports and remove content that breaks these Terms or our Community Guidelines
  • Suspend or terminate accounts for violations
  • Report illegal activity to law enforcement

8. Premium Subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your app store account. Payments and refunds are handled by the app store you purchased through, under its policies.

9. Meeting People

OPEN/secret helps people connect, but we do not run background checks and cannot guarantee anyone's identity, intentions or conduct. You are responsible for your own safety when communicating with or meeting other members. Please follow our Safety Guidelines.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

OPEN/secret is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • The accuracy of member profiles
  • Any particular result from using the service

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of OPEN/secret, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold OPEN/secret harmless from claims arising from your use of the service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access, without notice, for any violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will tell you about material changes in the app and update the "Last updated" date. Continuing to use OPEN/secret after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Your Legal Rights

Nothing in these Terms takes away any rights you have under the consumer protection or data protection laws of the country where you live.
